The council issued 2,400 tickets at £65 each between April 22 and May 23 for motorists caught in hatched yellow box at Carterhatch Lane.
Some residents who lived nearby have reported receiving multiple penalty tickets since the enforcement camera was introduced with one tearful driver facing six fines.
Another driver who was issued with nine tickets could have to pay £585.
Ward councillor Nick Dines said: “If tickets continue to be issued at that rate, the camera will generate over £1.8 million over a 12 month period, an incredible sum of money for the council to raise in fines from its residents in just one traffic junction.”
