Transport for London and Enfield Council want to inflict a catastrophically ill-planned cycle lane scheme on Enfield, in North London. They falsely claim that it would “transform our high streets and town centres, improve our health and create safe and secure cycle lane routes for everyone”. In fact it would make make local lives a misery.
The first phase of the scheme along the A105 (Green Lanes, Ridge Avenue, Village Road, Park Avenue, London Road), from Enfield Town to Palmers Green has been approved by TfL.
We want to stop Enfield Council from bulldozing through this scheme, in the face of overwhelming opposition from the majority of residents, businesses, the nine churches along the route and numerous community and business groups.
Sign the petition (and get your friends to sign it) and stop this disastrous proposal!!!
